Gotland Table Tennis Federation was formed in 1955 and organises annual tournaments and leagues. At present 15 clubs participate in the competitions. The Federation has long experience in organising competitions.
Table tennis is one of Gotland’s best events in the NatWest Island Games. Gotland’s table tennis stars play for clubs that compete in the country’s top leagues.
The Baltic Championship takes place in Visby every summer and attracts people from all over Sweden. Gotland was responsible for organising the event at the NatWest Island Games Åland 2009 under the leadership of World Cup and Olympic umpire Börje Karlsson.
At the Games, there will be a team competition, singles for men and women, doubles for men and women, and mixed doubles. The competitions will take place in Södervärnshallen.
